Education of the third age
As part of lifelong learning, at the Cosmopolitan Institute we also focus on the education of seniors, for whom we offer a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) educational program specializing in Media Literacy.
General information
Our continuing education offer for seniors is focused on expanding knowledge in the field of media literacy. Not only university graduates, but also those who have never studied at a university can apply for E3A studies. Lifelong learning takes on a new dimension.
In addition to educational significance, E3V also has a significant socializing impact. It serves as a meaningful way to fill seniors' free time. People who desire further education meet their peers at the courses, with whom they can share new knowledge, experiences and experiences.

Acceptance conditions
E3A is a professional lifelong learning program designed primarily for seniors. Applicants who have already reached the age required for the award of an old-age pension as well as citizens on a disability pension who can become E3A students regardless of age can apply for it. Other interested parties over the age of 50 can request an individual assessment of their participation in this education.
- anyone can apply (however, priority is given to those who have already been granted the right to a retirement pension)
- completed high school education is required (in some cases, elementary education is also sufficient)
- an E3A graduate does not receive a classic academic degree, but a professional BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) degree, which he is entitled to use after his name
Education Program Fee
The price of the educational program is from 4.990 €.
The condition of admission is the completion of a binding application and payment of the fee for the educational program. Enrollment takes place until the auditoriums are full. Education at E3A has the exclusive character of personal development, professional training, and upon successful completion, graduates are entitled to the professional title BBA listed after their name (e.g. Jan NOVÁK, BBA).

Education Program: BBA Specialization: Media Literacy
A graduate of this educational program is equipped with knowledge and skills that enable him to work effectively with communication tools, such as a laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc. within the framework of the study, the emphasis is not only on acquiring theoretical knowledge, but also on the ability to work independently with professional and data sources, the ability to deduce and formulate one's own conclusions and opinions, the application of theoretical knowledge when solving separate partial tasks.
Subjects
Basics of media literacy
- The student acquires the basic theoretical and practical basics in handling web domains, writing e-mail, printing and basic handling of modern means of communication.
Cyber crime
- The student will first of all learn the theoretical essence of Internet crime, will be trained in how to effectively defend against such behavior, how to behave when receiving suspicious emails, and will anchor the principles of protection against virtual abuse by a stranger on the Internet.
Basics of ICT
- The student will be introduced to all modern communication technologies, such as (PC, smartphone, tablet, etc.)
The condition for completing the E3A program is the fulfillment of the conditions for its successful completion, one of which is attendance at classes in the range of at least 50%.
Students who meet the required conditions (elaboration and submission of a final written work of 10 pages, or passing the test) will receive the professional title BBA, which they are entitled to use after their name.
