The LL.M. (Master of Laws) is a professional study programme focused on the development of advanced legal expertise and related managerial competencies.
It is a form of professional education oriented towards the practical application of law in everyday professional practice. The LL.M. (Master of Laws) has long been regarded as a qualification standard in the legal field for professionals working in both the private and public sectors.
The LL.M. study programme offers specialisations focused on the practice of legal professions and the application of law in real-world contexts, particularly in the areas of general legal consultancy, real estate law, and tort liability.
Structure of Study
The programme is adapted to students’ time availability and professional commitments. At the outset of the studies, each student works with an assigned lecturer to develop an Individual Study Plan (ISP), which reflects academic objectives and preferred pace while ensuring a transparent and structured progression from enrolment through to successful completion.
Lecturers are available for consultations, academic support, and assistance with specific tasks through the student’s preferred communication channels, including email, telephone, video calls, and, where appropriate, in-person meetings. This system provides not only expert guidance but also supports personal and professional development.

All applications are assessed individually by the Academic Senate and the Education Council, taking into account the applicant’s prior education and professional experience.

Tuition fees are stated excluding VAT (price including 21% VAT).

Tuition may be paid either in a single instalment or through an individually arranged payment schedule.

The “Introduction to Law” module provides a basic overview of key legal concepts and principles necessary for orientation within the legal system. It focuses on explaining the functions of law, its classification, legal norms, subjects of legal relations, and sources of law, including their hierarchy and relationship to European law. Students acquire a solid theoretical foundation that enables them to better understand subsequent specialised legal disciplines and to apply legal principles in both their studies and professional practice.
Administrative Law
The “Administrative Law” module represents a fundamental pillar of public law and focuses on the definition of administrative law, its principles, system, and relationship to constitutional law. It provides an overview of the organisation of public administration, its activities, and legal regulation, including administrative proceedings and the control of the exercise of public authority. Students gain the knowledge necessary to understand the legal framework governing public administration, to navigate legal regulations, and to apply administrative law in practice.
Public Administration
The “Public Administration” module serves as an introduction to public administration and its legal framework. It focuses on defining the concept and principles of public administration, its structure, organisation, and relationship to administrative law. It addresses both state administration and self-government and also reflects the European context of public administration in connection with the Czech Republic’s membership in the European Union. Students gain an overview of the structure and functions of public administration, its institutional framework, and the legal norms governing it. The module also includes an introduction to European administrative law and its influence on the Czech legal system.
